Bio

Prior to Cornell: Angel began fencing in high school. He quickly rose to the top, becoming the epee captain and then overall captain of his team. With his leadership, his team won the GPA award three years in a row.

At Cornell: Angel was the captain of the epee squad during the 2008-2009 season.  At a MACFA meet at Haverford in 2009, he clinched the 14th bout against William and Mary in what otherwise could have been a 13-14 loss.  Leading the epee squad last season with a highly respectable .600 record, Angel went 30-20.  Studying abroad in Fall 2009, he returned in the spring of his junior year and went 14-4 at our third scheduled MACFA meet, for a season record of .778.

Personal: Angel is in the school of Industrial and Labor Relations. He is Vice President of the Multicultural Greek Letter Council (MGLC) and is a brother of ΛΥΛ.  Born in the Dominican Republic, Angel is fluent in Spanish.
